Remember when we were recruiting Lattimore and we finally landed him and then everyone was arguing about whether he or Michael Dyer from Auburn were the #1 RB recruit in the country. Well, I guess that question has be answered. haha

I just find it amazing that 2 guys so close in talent and potential just 2 years ago couldnt be farther apart from reaching their dreams today.

I'm no Auburn fan, and Dyer has certainly had more than his share of problems lately, but let's not forget who was the MVP of the national championship game that Auburn won. I think most college football players would give their right arms to have the football career that Dyer has had, even if he never plays another snap.

Dyer proved he had the talent. He just didn't have the character Lattimore has.

One thing that you are not thinking about is that team had cam. Defenses priority were to stop cam first and then dyer. Just watch what happens when teams have to watch for Latti and Shaw. Latti has done everything with defenses trying to stop him first.

I was in the stadium when Dyer played in WB last year and he was not chopped liver. I hate Auburn but like to think I recognize a good player when I see one. His career took a huge tumble but this kid was a gifted RB.

^This is what i was thinking when I started this tread. 2 RBs that had all the talent in the world and one isnt even in college as we speak and the other one, baring huge injury, will be in the NFL within 12-24 months.

Just to be clear, I would take Latti over Dyer every time for my team. But to compare Dyer to Squeaky Watson is not really fair. Dyer actually performed well on the biggest stage. Now, Clarett may be a much better comparison. Time will tell.

Dyer does have a National Championship Ring, MVP of Championship game and is 2-0 head to head.

Right now he has more accolades on the field. Marcus Lattimore has run circles around him in the character department.
