Todd Gurley VS Marcus Lattimore...

i watched a little video on this Gurley kid last night... i was slightly impressed. i really dont see how he got a 5star ranking. im not talking trash because i'm slightly biased and i hate uga with every ounce of my soul. i just dont see whats so speacial about this kid. maybe my glasses are triple coated in cock kool-aid lol. this is what i noticed about Gurley. he protects the ball well and doesnt do any flashy stuff. reminds me a little of lattimore. two things lattimore does that i didnt see much of Gurley in his senior season highlights.

1. great backfield reciver
2. bruiser... smashes through holes and puts d-lineman on their ass.

seriously, whats so special about Gurley? he, like Lattimore doesnt have a 6th gear after burner. i see a good vision smart runner playing against garbage high school defenses. Lattimore's high school film looks a lot better. please somebody show me what im missing.

I don't know about his speed but noone seemed to be able to catch him.

The one big difference in running style is that he runs straight up while Marcus knows how to get low.

Lattimore is the best RB I've seen since Barry Sanders. Every year uga gets the next great running back and it seems like the only one that met their expectations was Herschel.

Gurley is going to be a very good back for UGA - I'm certainly not looking forward to playing against him for the next 3 years. But he's not Marcus (nobody is). And him going to UGA...well there's no telling what's going to happen. He might just turn into a criminal by association.

I think a better OP would be todd gurley vs mike davis - we got a good one in davis. He's gonna surprise the folks that aren't ready for him yet. Like UGA fans/players.

All I know is, back when UGA still had Crowell and they got the commitment from Marshall and then soon after got Gurley to commit as well, most all UGA fans on sites I visited were saying Gurley was destined as a LB....

Latti has the first move to get free, however Gurley doesn't look to have it. All of his highlights are of following blocks to wide open running room, not making his own. There was the obligatory one of him getting hit by everyone on the team and not going down, but really that was just missed tackles.

Gurley will be good if he stays healthy. He had some bum ankles his Sr year but played through it and played extremely well. This is a guy I wanted at Clemson even more than Marshall.

I love Latti because he has been nothing less than an ambassador of character and leadership for South Carolina, but I think this guy is going to be better than both him and Gurley!!!

Yeah, I just don't see how we can redshirt MD. We aren't getting 5 years out of him either way- I want to see this kid on the field.

Whose PT would I cut short to see him out there? I have no idea. But he should get some carries this year and hopefully he delivers.
