What I see in ou team this year

Alright so just watch a preview of 2012 season on a post... and let me tell you im excited about this year. So i see Shaw being a lot more confident in his passing. I also see players like Cunningham and Anderson along with Sanders Stepping up in a big way. Im not worried about ellington as he has shown he can do big things.
As for the running backs i would like to see someone take some of the load off lattimore. The only problem with this, is that it seems like every back that comes in to relieve him usually sputters a bit. So more production from the second guy in.

Now to the defense. Of course the big topic is the secondary. But im confident in these guys. I had the chance to talk to Hampton during the summer and he was very up-beat about the group we had at USC. He also stated that disruption is what he is going after. He stated that he wanted to cause big problems in cover to let our D-line handle the rest. He also threw out that auguste wanted more big hits like against Ole miss and that he was hungry and not like im just hungry to be hungry but a burning desire to get back on the field.
Our LB core will be solid and of course you guys know about our D-line. So it's just a very well rounded team that i havent seen in a long time. Plus just like in the football over seas, team chemistry is big and guess what we have it. So this year is looking very good. I also hope some of these freshman step up and become house hold names by the end of the season. So in Closing i just want to say " It's Great to be a Gamecock"!!!

Dude I'm with you. I've been "ready" for the season to start for a while, but suddenly I'm freakin excited. There's SO much potential on the field, and we know what Spurrier can do with a team that has the talent in place (even with a team that doesn't).

Oklahoma will probably do fine this year, but South Carolina will be a better team. *smartass grin*

Something that brings more confidence into this 2012 season on the offensive side of the ball is Connor Shaw and Marcus Lattimore have only played one full game together in their careers at USC. Also I really like the stable of tight ends. The TE's will be huge targets for Connor Shaw and keys to downfield blocking for Marcus Lattimore.

For the first time in over 30 years, our Gamecocks will go into games with the confidence that they will win if they play their game. And I mean that for every game this year. Doubt and fear are now for the other guys. By the time we play GA, the bull pups will be thinking "We have to play our best game to have a shot at winning. Damn, I wish the game was in Athens and not at Williams-Brice." Even LSU will know that our Gamecocks are a real threat to spank them on national tv.

Again, I will be happy to get 10 in the regular season and 1 in the bowl game just like last year...we still need better players to make a real run at a title JMO

UK is the only full game they played together. ECU, Connor Shaw was taken out for garcia.

The way I see it is, Bama didn't win the SEC yet won the BCS. We could possibly do that too, but I really don't see it happening for us. It's Bama. Even though they didn't go to the SECCG, they still made it to the big one. And won.

I don't see the voters doing that for us.If we lose to LSU and beat everyone else, not make it to ATL and go to the BCS title game.

Also, I honestly don't think that if we only lose to LSU that we won't go to ATL.

Don't see how we can only lose to LSU and still be out of ATL. UGA would have be undefeated in SEC play which would be impossible if we beat them.
