Went by the new farmers market yesterday and checked out where ill be parking this year. While thinking of how awesome the whole atmosphere is gonna be there this year i was thinking of the possibility of gameday coming into town for the georgia or arkansas game (depending on how the teams do). Wouldnt this be a great new location with a good backdrop for the gameday crew to come to? Also, who else is pumped to "experience it for the first time, again"?

Yes, I think it will be a great spot for Gameday if they don't go back to the Horseshoe. In 20 years that area will look awesome as the trees mature.

I work at a local hotel in Columbia, and we have a bid for the Game Day Crew's rooms for the Georgia game. If both of us are undefeated Game Day will definitely be here.

Gameday will be here for the UGA game. This is the Alabama-LSU game for the east.

Just my 2 cents, I think it would be sick to have it in the farmers market to where in the backgound was the back of the new video board.

But they should have it there. ESPN likes having the stadium in the background, but they didn't like the fair grounds. At the FM you can get the stadium without the crappy cement parking lot. |

I just about sprayed my iPad screen. Funny as hell.
Some people seem to be confusing the new farmers market tailgating with what used to be the fairgrounds parking area. Actually the garnet way...which is in the new FM kind of flows into the fairgrounds parking. If espn game day does do the Georgia/SC game they would do it in the farmers market and the west stands and main corner of WB would be the focus in the background. I'd like that as I am tailgating in the university house...although I was at the horseshoe for the Bamako beat down game and I have never enjoyed a pre game more. Either way, I'll be there.

College Gameday in the horseshoe was awesome, but it was a tough trip to make it down to the stadium in all that traffic, plus I didn't even get to tailgate before the game because it was at 3:30. If it's in the Farmer's Market it will look awesome with all the new renovations plus Williams Brice in the background. Also it won't be in the fairgrounds so Fowler won't have a reason to cry about the location.

The farmers market is the logical location. They like to have the set in a place where the stadium can be seen. It is a short walk to the stadium. A lot of people will be there. But the horseshoe has already been a successful location. Either way I will be there. How many times do they come to Columbia anyway, right?

It will go in the farmers market with the stadium as the backdrop there is no doubt. It's the best place and the most convinent especially for the gameday crew
