I saw this article on nfl.com and the only real time I remember Alshon having a temper was the bowl game that him and Alfonzo Dennard got the boot. Even then I didn't think Alshon should have been tossed from the game because Dennard threw the punch. Regardless, it's good to see that he will be taking some playing time away from Hester and the other guys that the Bears have at receiver.

I have never heard anything about AJ having temper issues. But great to hear he is doin so well. Never doubted that anyway.

I remember on the replay they said Jeffrey 'retaliated' with a 'punch' but all he did was push Dennard away. He pushed him high near his helmet, but he never swung. Dennard was flat out swinging away several times!

Alshon never had any problems with his temper while he was here. One of the happiest easiest guys in the world to get along with.

yeah, if anything I always thought he was a gentle giant type. If they attempt to jam him, he would be within reason to throw them into the stands. He's a big man.

I saw somewhere on NFL.com or Yahoo Sports that Alshon also was a risky 2nd round pick because he had bad attitude problems. Not too sure where all of this is coming from, pretty annoying though. It was never the case.

Speaks volumes about the credibility of lots of news sites these days. One stupid rumor can get run up the flag pole and these people will never let it be forgotten even if it's proven to be totally false. I'm convinced they are just dying to get a hold of something negative about NFL players...and yea, some of it's warranted, but some of it's not, like Alshon.

I thought it was funny Dennard was drafted after Gilmore. The Nebraska fans, who said Dennard could cover Alshon one on one and was a better corner than anyone in the SEC, scoffed and told me I was smoking weed when I told them Alshon went up against a better corner in practice.
