RIP Darrell Royal
He was a great coach at Texas (spit). Had some epic battles with Frank Broyles back in the day. My daddy hated him and he's the reason why still to this day I say "Texas (spit)". But he has our respect. Dude could coach.
Former Texas Longhorns coach Darrell Royal has passed away at the age of 88, the school has confirmed. Wednesday will be a very, very sad day for Texas fans. http://www.sbnation.com/college-foot...football-coach

My dad was in Arkansas the week of that game and we watched with great interest pulling for Arkansas.Great atmosphere with Richard Nixon flying in on a chopper.Arkansas done in by a pass from James Street to Randy Peshel in the waning minutes.Strange I can remember that but keep forgetting where I put my car keys.
