ESPN Announces SEC Thursday Night Schedule

College football is three-quarters complete and basketball tips off Friday but planning for the college baseball season is already underway. ESPNU’s third annual Thursday Night SEC Baseball Game of the Week is the first set of games to be scheduled. The weekly series will begin March 28 and continue every Thursday through May 16.

The series will begin with Texas A&M, playing its first season in the SEC, at South Carolina. South Carolina, winners of two of the past three College World Series’, defeated Texas A&M in the 2011 College World Series which was the only previous matchup between the teams.

Playing the good teams will let us see how "good" this team is and see I they can progress throughout the year.

Yeah the East is the stronger division in the SEC this year IMO. Is Clemson supposed to be any good this year?

I thought Texas A&M had a pretty solid program? That was one series I wanted to get to. But if we do Thurs - Sat I may not get to.

I mean this will be one of the younger teams we have had in recent years so I'm hoping the guys respond and play some good ball. Playing good teams can only better prepare us for if/when we make it to the tourney.
