DJ out next week?
Totaly bs call but what will the SEC rule on eligibility for next week? I seen nothing wrong in the hit and after video evidence of a clean hit what is the rule? Do they have to suspend him due to the ruling on the field or can it be overturned?

They will review it and if they are not blind then they will see it was a clean hit and he will not be suspended.

Ruling on the field is the discretion of the officials. The video will be sent to the SEC office and a ruling made on any further penalties. From watching the hit it looks legal and he shouldn't miss any games. But the SEC hates us.

The hit from the Alabama player looked more like an illegal hit than Swearinger, it was not flagged at all.

Did anyone just see the penalty of Oregon? Hitting above the shoulders... the guy literally hit him square wiht his shoulders and gave him a push some of this is ridiculous. How can defensive players play their position?

He wont get suspended. He got suspended for "Targeting" - which almost implies intent to decapitate. Hitting above the shoulder pads is just circumstance.
Shouldnt be an issue. |
