What became of Alshons little brother? I don't recall hearing about him this year. I thought he was going to be great.

He was a three star recruit for a reason. The staff saw potential in him. Just bc his last name is jeffery does not mean hes going to have an early impact. I expected kj brent to have an impact this year as well. With ace, bruce, And for some reason dl Moore having so much experience it makes it harder for freshmen to see a lot Of playing time. Hell, shaq roland is probably The most talented reciever on The roster, or At least one Of them anyway, And he has, what, 5 catches? Sometimes it takes a while for The light to come on And see some production. Shameir is gonna be fine, he also could use a lil more Work ethic from whAt ive heard. Aint giving up on him though

If he doesn't grasp the game by next season, should the coaching staff move him? What about LB? He's 6'1 214, he could bulk up a bit.

I would tend to agree. It doesn't say much about his ability to pick up on things quickly. But I would be more interested in knowing what his raw potential is. We know it's taking him awhile to grasp whatever it is he needs to grasp in order to play, but what could his end result look like when he does understand what he needs to do? Serious question, because I have never seen him play and have no idea. If he has even 75% of his brother's ability he could potentially be good.

I actually heard a coach say he was finally learning routes. He was a QB in high school. Kentucky offered him a QB scholarship. I have been waiting to see if he can play.

Maybe we need to start looking at him like a 3-star WR...instead of looking at him as Alshon 2.0.

I think we're looking for the Jeffery gene-pool in this situation and that's alot to live up to. Maybe, just maybe, he's not as good as big bro. Not every skill position player can contribute in the first year or two. Maybe he doesn't break out until his Jr & Sr year.

Also, FWIW...I believe he had surgery in the spring. Not sure what sort of surgery & the related recovery.
