Did you know the last time we forced a shutout was over 4 years ago against NC State? 34-0.

We have only had 3 shutouts this side of the century. Odd with the stronger defenses we have put together paired with the cupcake or 2 we schedule each year.

I hate those late garbage touchdowns (see: Georgia this year).

Apparently there's plenty of reason not to shut them out, turnovers in the redzone, interceptions, piss poor run blocking, piss poor O-line play just to name a few.

Don't get the analogy you're making. He's not talking to the defense about a shutout. He's talking to other fans. If talking about a shutout prevented a shutout, a shutout would never happen.
