Louisville and UConn are early favorites. I'm sure FSU and Clemson are really impressed.

haha yeah. Clemson's eyes are lighting up bc they will still have their cupcakes. I mean if the ACC cant keep Maryland in conference then its a bad sign

Maryland will now earn more money from football than FSU. How long do you think that will stand?

Louisville seems like a good fit for nothing other than the fact that it has a strong Basketball and Football program. From what I hear, the academics leave something to be desired. UConn wouldn't be a bad add from television market perspective and it would give the ACC dominance in the Northeast- not that it matters for football of course. Not sure what Uconn's academics are like though.

Yeesh. Never thought of it like that. No way FSU puts up with that for long.

Uconn's academics are better than Louisville.
It will probably be Uconn. I can see UL move to the Big 12

Seriously though..
UConn (most likely), Louisville, Cincinnati, USF, Memphis. Personally, I think USF would be a great addition, but they will most likely go with UConn for academics and basketball.

Yeah dude, can you just see it in 10 years when Maryland's facilities are $140 million better than Clemson, FSU and VTs and they are locking down Norfolk and the Beltway from all the ACC schools? Ouch bro, new conference USA. |

FSU and Clemson and GT and Miami might just leave if they get another team based on basketball. Lousiville seems the obvious choice. You gotta' improve the football product. Hoops should be only marginally more relevant than lacrosse to the discussion. If I were FSU I might consider starting my own shit like Texas did, with me GT, CLEM, Miami and maybe the Virginia Schools and then add some other football schools as we go. Maybe peel of a houston from the Big East.

My first guess for filling the void would be Louisville. But they would have to be in the coastal division correct? Does that make any sense or does it even need to make sense at this point?

I dont think Memphis has a chance. USF and Louisville have the best shot IMO

They already announced unofficially announced that UCONN will join the ACC tomorrow.
