why would they take lsu over florida for the Sugar, besides home state team?

The 10 teams for the 4 BCS bowls and national camp game are:
2 SEC teams (5 teams)
2 Big 12 teams (KSt and Okla)
2 Pac 12 teams (Oregon, Stanford, Oregon St, UCLA)
1 ACC team (Fla St)
1 Big 10 team (Nebraska)
1 Big East team (Louisville, Rutgers)
Notre Dame

The ACC, Big 10 and Big East don't have the strength of schedule numbers to allow 2 teams. The computers have the Taters # 15....they have us # 11.

To those demanding equal teams, yes fair competition makes for a tighter enjoyable game. But let's look back to the 2010 papa johns bowl for a moment.

With only 5 bowl wins in school history, I'm ready for us to play anyone. But I'd definitely like to see our bowl wins increase...

and not an embarrassment to a basketball/big east school

They don't even know how it works..... If an SEC team makes the Championship game then the Sugar gets two at-large bids, they just always take an SEC team (if possible) because it makes the most sense...

Louisville gets in as champ of the Big East....it's either them or Rutgers. What CBS had was crap. Florida is playing in a BCS bowl even if they lose to FSU. The computers have them #2. Hell K-ST is getting in a BCS bowl and they got blown out by a very average Baylor team.

Everyone should stop whining about potential bowl opponents.

Fact is- unless your team is playing in a BCS bowl- then the bowl game only has 2 benefits to your team;

1. More practice time. This occurs regardless of bowl game and bowl opponent.
2. A nice city for your team to visit and enjoy.

So, on #2 above...your choice is Jacksonville, Atlanta, and Tampa...
