No, you can't. Why? Because we have a recruiting forum called The Proving Grounds that is clearly visible from the front page and most posters know that when prospects commit to other schools, their threads are closed and discussion can carry on in the Locker Room. So at least you reposted correctly.

Our staff messed this all up, IMO. The fact that he didn't come to campus but one fricken time during the season is a joke. Not only that but they elected to have Langley hold off and not use his OV during the UGA game week.

Hopefully Mangus and Brown learn from this. I also hope Ward was more involved than I think he was.

Honestly, C2, that doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I can see closing it down after they commit to another school, but then you get a thread like this and the contiguity of the conversation get's jacked up. So folks go to the PG's forum to find out about the kid, and they have the whole story up until they commit somewhere else. If the conversation was continued here, most never follow up in this forum to see the ongoing conversation.

I'm not saying don't close it out after they commit, but it seems like those threads should be held for 24 hours or so after the commitment to allow posts like these, and to allow folks to say their peace.

Or alternatively, link these types of threads in the last post in the PG's before you lock the thread. That seems like more work tho.

You don't write a letter like he did and say the things to the coaches he did and then play us like that. The staff did a piss poor job on this one as well. No way we should have held off on his official and the fact that he only visited once is a complete joke.
I hope this kid doesn't play a down at UGA.

There is still time to flip him back. Oh how quickly he forgets our stomping of UGA. How any recruit would want to flip to the other side after witnessing that first hand is beyond me.

Langley is a critical component of our class and I hope we work our butts off to get him back.

Georgia was always his favorite. He felt disrespected when Georgia did not go full boar after him. They showed him love after they missed on others guys. He obviously doesn't mind being a fall back guy for Georgia or a plan B. See you down the road Langley.

Doesn't help when Carolina's recruiters essentially let him VISIT GEORGIA EVERY WEEKEND WITHOUT FOLLOWING UP WITH HIM AND DEMANDING SOME RESPECT. WEAK GUYS.

Posted this in the Proving Ground but Langley clearly - IMO - committed to SC as a move to try and hold his spot at a school he was considering. If you recall, in the summer there was a lot of talk regarding Bama, UGA, and Tennessee (Langley's top 3 schools) backing off of him and not wanting to accept his commitment and even read that he wasn't necessarily a take for SC. Then shortly after all this talk started, Langley became real high on SC almost out of nowhere and committed shortly thereafter.

All of that's a long winded way of saying that this isn't surprising and I don't know how much you can actually blame the staff for this when Carolina was clearly a back up option all along for Langley - though I certainly don't know what went on behind the scenes.

Here's what they did wrong...

They should have cut him loose early on after it was APPARENT his undying love for Georgia was insatiable. Tell him 'good luck' and move on. This wasn't a sudden decommit, but rather a drawn out inevitability. Nothing sadder than trying to smile with egg on your face. Heck my ego is bruised right now!
