Can we please Kick to start the game Saturday?

We have received to start every road game this season, and this has been our drive summary:
At Vanderbilt-fumble
At LSU-3 n out
At Kentucky-Negative 5 yards
At Florida-Fumble inside the 5

Am I the only one that noticed this? Not a huge deal in the scheme of a 60 minute game, but in hostile environments, it'd be nice to get off to a good start for once and quiet the crowd.

agreed. Need to set the tone with defense, especially when they're pumped up right out of the gate.

I agree. It kills the crowd a little bit. They do so muche yelling for pregame and then have to tone it down when their offense comes on the field. If your defense gets a stop it's tough to really get that energy back when you're supposed to get loud to back up the D.

Ah, you're right, my apologies, but our first possession still went poorly. Just wish we could start off strong to silence the crowd as opposed to getting them more pumped up with poor play.

Yeah I completely agree. Also, with our need to have time consuming drives, being able to get the ball to start the 3rd and have a 5, 6 or 7 minute TD drive would be huge.

Always kick. Our away play has just been horrible this year. Don't know if the kickoff had anything to do with it. It would be nice to see them get pressure on the first snap saturday.

There is Clemson side discussion like this going on Tigernet right now. Most Clemson fans want to kick the ball first too instead of taking the ball first like we have done all season.

yeah, i would definitely like to defer and start on defense, getting the ball first in the second half.

I'd usually agree with you, but considering how poorly Clemson's defense is, I wouldn't be opposed as being confident enough to take the ball and have a solid scoring drive, taking 7+ minutes off the clock.

On the other hand giving Clemson the ball and forcing a 3 and out would dishearten the crowd a little bit, especially if we score after stopping them.

If we do kick though the defense better do their best and stop them early, That first possession could be critical for motivation and comfort level for Boyd.

Play to win ! Take the ball, drive 7+ as you suggest, hang 7 on them, let our D shut them down on their first drive= crowd out of the game. Instant momentum, they'll get nervous.............the pressure is on them
