![]() I was wondering who would fill in for these two once they finally decide to retire?
Brent is 73 and Verne is 72 now, so one would assume that these two are toward the end of their careers. Who will be the first to retire, and will this cause a realignment of the major broadcasting teams, or will someone new step in? When I say "major" teams, a topic which is debatable, I'm referring to: Musberger/ Herbstreit Nessler/ Blackledge Lundquist/ Danielson Davis/ Palmer and Pollack Personally I think Verne will be the first one to retire. If this happens I would like to see Tim Brando step in to do the play by play with Gary still doing the color. Since Tim is already with CBS and is an SEC guy, this would sound like the most logical fit. However, if Brent retires first, I would like to see Kirk move to the big seat with Palmer for color. What do you think? |

![]() Kirk won't move to the big seat.
They keep him as the main color guy and find someone to do play by play. Maybe Nessler and pair Tessitore with Blackledge |

![]() Do you say that because you don't think Kirk could do it, he doesnt want to or because he's so good at color that ESPN would not move him?

Usually the color guys are the ex players/coaches while the Play by Play guys are there just because of their voices.n (on the national networks that is) Last edited by I Bleed Garnet; 11-24-2012 at 10:37 AM.. |

![]() I'm not a fan of Pollack or Palmer. I'd like to see Nessler and Blackledge

![]() I actually like McDonough, but I couldn't stand listening to Matt Millen last night. Tessitore was ok.
