After thinking, this has to be the weakest upper classman group ever... Any other year Manziel would not even be in NYC, yet now he... HE is the first freshman Heisman????

Gamecocks got shafted in AA/SEC as well, Dj was a top safety all year, TJ Johnson was one if the best OL in the conference (aka country), and ace was certainly better than 3rd team..

Legree, Willson, Taylor, quarles, jerideau all are tops in the Conf at their positions

PS I hate the spread big number systems (like sumlins)... Too easy for a qb to put up big numbers, and almost all go nowhere on the next level... this reminds me of the year Eric crouch won and I can't stand it, such a weak upperclass... Also, wasn't this kid arrested multiple times this offseason? (maybe mcevoy was our manziel?).. What a great story -_-

On Manziel.
I think at the rate of QBs going in today's league, hell be higher than a 5th rounder. Especially with the pay scale now where they don't need to give massive contracts.
If Russell Wilson can compete, teams will look into him. And the NFL is changing into a pass heavy league as it is. A good amount of teams run these types of offenses today.
And yes he got arrested for underage drinking after getting into a fight/verbal altercation.

If they put up big numbers and score a lot of points, I thought that was the idea. The problem for teams that run that offense tend not to have good defenses and that's why it's hard to win with that system.

I watched all season and TJ Johnson does not impress me much.
Swag was a first or second team guy at least.

Wilson could have been third team.

Taylor just did not get the numbers but his impact was there if you paid attention.

Legree played well but should be considered. He got benched for a bit this year due to poor play.

I agree, DT is a momster in the run game, which to some degree can be as important.

And true, Legree needs to be more consistent but he was a big time player for us.. if he did not step up our secondary would have been penetrated, call it sexondary, constantly. He got a few picks and shut down some good WRs
