As a Michigan fan, I don't get the NFL infatuation with Lewan.
I know he's our best O-lineman, and he's been pretty strong....but he's projected top 10-15 in the draft & that puzzles me.
My hope is he gets fired up enough knowing Clowney's status & plays the game of his life.

...Lets face it....UM has been and still is an offensive line machine....Bunch of guys in the NFL on both the offense and defensive lines are UM Alumni.....Anyway I dont think you have to worry about the fired up part of Lewans game....Its all about speed and strength and I myself have NEVER seen a human being with the strength and speed that Clowney has.....He scares the crap out of Olinemen on sight....He is an imposing player...

yeah, i havent seen a player absolutely bullrush offensive lineman like they weigh 200 lbs since suh.. he must have insane strength in his upper and lower body to drive lineman straight back like ragdolls right off the snap.

My buddy was talking with the strength coach when he came into his work. He said Clowney in HS never really lifted with form or even a set schedule, kind of just came in and did what you felt like. Said when they tried to teach him how to clean and press, usually they use like 100-135 to teach form, Clowney was so strong he could just do it with easy and had to put over 225 on to force him to use proper form. When it was lighter he was just grabbing it and clicking it above his head like it was nothing.

He has such natural raw power. With another off season of lifting he is going to be unreal.

The problem is you are dealing with a bunch of men, men whose vocabulary and thought processes revolve around hip movies they watch and think are funny. They use one liners from movies instead of coming up with their own funny things to say. Just my opinion, as a 28 year old male, I see it every day when dealing with much less mature co workers and students.
