I see now how stats are overrated. Clowney is a game changer and teams have to scheme around him so much to try and get away from but he still puts up great stats. I mean take into account how many plays he has blown up but not made the play. How about all of the times he is held? There's no stat for that, but damn everyone goin against him does it and gets away with it.

I understand everyone here backing Clowney and I am right there with everyone knowing he is monster. But let's not get wrapped around the axle here and think this is anything new. Awards from the Heisman down have always gone to individuals on high ranking teams. Then you add in te'o story and it is what it is. Clowney is getting his props regardless of whether he is collecting trophies or not. Lets just be glad we get to see him at Williams Brice 1 more year

Lol don't let your hatred for Notre Dame put down a great player. Like it or not Notre Dame is the ONLY undefeated team in the nation, the reason they're undefeated is because of their defense & the main reason their defense is where it's at is because of Manti Teo. Come on man

It really wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility to create an "interceptions forced" statistic. It wouldn't have to be an official stat or anything, but it's no more subjective than quarterback hurries.
