Gonna miss Shaq Wilson!

I feel like Shaq has been a very underrated player on the team. He made a lot of big plays during his years here. It kind of feels like he's been here for a lot longer than he really has. He was one of the biggest mainstays for the rise of the USC defense. Gonna miss 54 at LB.

We'll just call this the general Shaq Wilson appreciation thread.

Guy is a lead weight at the LB position. he is stable, consistent and a hard worker. He brought a lot of passion and heart on the field. He will be missed very much so from my point of view

the turnover he forced in the first quarter of the Vandy game was huge!

I never thought he was underrated. He got his headlines. He may have been the smartest at knowing where the play was going. He seemed to end up with the ball in his hands as if he were on offense. Him and DJ played beyond their years. They knew the game. It's going to be tough to lose not one but two heady players on D. Ouch!

I think we not only lose Shaq but DJ, Bowman and Devonte who all play the middle distance. Dunno who our MLB will be next year.

Yeah there are definitely some big holes to fill on D. That's just college football for you though. Always gives someone else a chance to step up!

Ellis Johnson always said Shaq was the smartest football player he had ever seen. He got the defense lined up most of the time. He has always been a leader. Maybe he can be our coach down the road.

We got some highly rated LB's coming in. Hopefully they can learn our system quick and be productive quick. Looking forward to seeing Larenz Bryant play. Back to Shaq, one the best players to play here in my opinion. One of the building block players we landed to get us where we are and where we want to go. Just a question, but wasn't Shaq Wilson our top tackler the last two seasons or am I missing something? He may not flash a stat but he gets his tackles.

We're losing our 2-deep LB....I'm very concerned how our new guys will do. That's a whole lot of experience leaving. Hope Botkin can coach em up.
