Correct move.
Without injury, we all thought we would have him three years.

It is a shame he was hit with the injury bug, because he could've won the Heisman this year with such a week pool to pick from.

Sadly, Marcus will be the story of "what could have been," and to not fault of his own.

The right decision, and I know he will do well in the NFL.

I shudder to think who will have to dawn 21 next season.

Well consider yourselves lucky to see one of THE key reasons we turned around from a 7-6 squad to a 9+ win squad. It's a shame he only got one healthy season though.

Cloninger: The Lattimore news has not been confirmed by USC or a source within the team. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if it is confirmed shortly.

Good for him. He's probably a 3rd day pick and someone take a risk on him sitting the year. Thanks for all your work on and off the field at USC!

I can probably see teams like the Saints, Falcon, Patriots, and Ravens taking a shot at him. Obviously it also depends on how other teams draft running backs, but these 4 teams have tremendous depth at the RB position.

That's the part that sucks...his Freshman year was amazing but after that it became what could possibly be. He deserves to get paid.

I REALLY hope he'll be chosen in the first round, but this isn't the NFL it was even 3 years ago when Willis tore his knee up & was still chosen in the first round. Teams just don't put as much focus on running backs in the 1st these days.

Here's hoping he at least gets chosen in the first two days, and a healthy career to him.

also saw joe schad say he is recovering nicely from acl and lcl injuries. SO if that's true that is good news he only damaged 2 ligaments.

from ESPN: Lattimore understands he may have to sit out this season, but has a goal of jogging and catching passes at the end of March for NFL executives and plans to visit with them at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis.

A touchdown scoring machine. What's so impressive is he had a record 41 touchdowns (38 rushing) on the equivalent of 2 full seasons. An amazing person and an amazing athlete. It's the right move. As much as South Carolina, and college football fans would love to have him back in 2014, he can't risk another injury. It's time for him to move on and be an inspiration to an even bigger audience.
