Aaron Murray again....I will never understand how he gets so much love year after mediocre year. I really like Clowney's chances next year if he and USC take care of their business on the field. Although the trend lately has been for a guy to come out of "left field" to win it

Well oddsmakers probably made a lot of money having him on there last year so they got him pretty high again. Not necessarily that they think he'll win it

Sorry, I was speaking more to the pundits that continue to promote him as one of the best QB's. Tony Dungy was on the DP show and said he would take him(Murray) with first pick....got to be kidding me

Murray honestly had a really good season this year, by anyone's standards.

He should probably enter the draft this year...he'd be one of the first QBs picked. I could maybe see Geno Smith going before him, but that's about it.

Problem with Clowny is he plays defense. If e had another great year he deserves it. But I doubt he'll get it because he as defense.

The Heisman is an award that goes to offensive players almost exclusively. The only time I can remember the award not going to an offensive player was the year everyone was expecting Peyton Manning to get it, but for some reason, the powers that be were not going to make Archie and Peyton the first father/son winners ever.

Clowney is a DE who will be right up there with Too Tall Jones when it comes to great defensive ends, but barring divine intervention, I do not see him getting the trophy.

It depends how talented the Heisman pool is, how Clowney performs, and how the Cocks do next year. A defensive player finished second this year due to a weak pool, played for Notre Dame, and they are playing for the NC. If USC is undefeated(not out of the question), Clowney has another monster year(highly probable), and the field is down (to be determined) then I could see him going to NY. The last several years it has been someone that has not been on any pre-season list so who knows

Murray played fantastic the latter part of the year. he made some inredible throws down the stretch.

Murray is not the same qb now as he was earlier in the year, that is for darn sure.

He is a good QB...but he is not great or elite

Johnny football won't have the same type of season. He loses the best left tackle in America, and his OC. I really believe that if Clowney stays healthy and lives up to his potential, he will win it. He could have over 20 sacks if he plays every game like its the Clemson game.

I think he is going to come out next season and try and prove that he is the best to ever play the position. Maybe Whammy can lie to him about the sack record for a season...that seems to motivate him well

Murray looks like a really good quarterback when he doesn't get any pressure.
Unless USC gets really lucky, wins it all and Clowney has a monster year, he won't win the Heisman.

The University needs to start up a campaign for him right now. Also it would be nice to see Clowney get a few carries at running back maybe during goal line situations.

Jarvis Jones had these numbers that you project would win it, and missed 2 games with injury this year, making it more impressive. still, not even close. I just really think that its going to be a long time before any defensive guy wins the thing again.
