Kenny Miles Hurt

Per Dr Rick on radio it seems that Kenny has a leg injury and could be held out or at most get limited use vs Michigan. Dr Rick says this will be the coming out game for Davis who will most likely get most of the carries.

I think this is why they said Shon Carson is going to play a couple weeks ago. His wrist should have healed fully by late Oct, and we've redshirted too. So we were going to have to pull the redshirt off of 1 of these RB's and they probably thought Carson had a better shot. Remember, Carson was ahead of Wilds on the depth chart when both were healthy too.

Shaw likes to throw to the RB. Has Miles been a reciever much this year? Perhaps we'll get to see Carson catch a few and extend some plays with his speed.

No, Shon is going to play because he doesn't want to be in college for 6 years. And since he has looked impressive in practice with fresh legs, the coaches will play him when needed for the bowl game. The burning of the redshirt had nothing to do with Kenny getting injured, as that must have happened after Shon declared he wanted to play.

True. And we will miss his pass blocking even more if he is unable to play. Kenny has been great at pass blocking for us this season. And that is part of the reason why he has been the starter since Marcus' injury.

This was a retweet 2 days ago so who knows. Also said that although Shaw was in a boot when walking around town he is 100% at practice. You just never know what is reality and what is out there just to purposefully confuse the enemy.

In the beginning of 2011, the pre season RB Depth Chart was:
Lattimore
Miles
Wilds
Carson

Miles and Carson were hurt early on. Carson surpassed Wilds on the Depth Chart for the UGA game that year, but that's when he got hurt. I never saw Wilds listed as the FB on any of the media guides.

Spurrier said something to that affect a few days ago. Not necessarily that Carson said that he didn't want to be here 6 years, but that you don't see it often. And the ncaa would still have to approve the hardship waiver, and they may not since he was cleared a few weeks ago. SOS didn't say it, but I also think that he may believe that if Carson has nfl potential, he isn't going to be around here 6 years anyway.

TheBigSpur had a quote from Coach Sands 19 days ago that said Shon told him he wanted to play, instead of pushing for a medical redshirt like the coaches were planning on doing. It was a paid article, so I can't post the quote.

David Cloninger just tweeted that Miles has a small brace on his knee and that he said he would be fine for the game.
