Best Punt Ever? (Duke-Cincinnati Belk Bowl)

Did any of you watch the Duke-Cincy Belk Bowl last night?

In my opinion, I saw the best punt I've ever seen. It went 79 yards, and the ball took an amazing path.

What do you all think? Best punt ever?

Agreed. I'm happy I watched that game. Duke made crucial errors though with two fumbles inside the Cincy 5 yard line.

Carolina had a 86 yard punt against Taterville Tech in the early 80's. I don't remember the punters name right now, maybe some of you other 'old Gamecocks' can help me out.
The punter may have been Jay Feltz.

We had a 70 something yard punt to flip the field vs y'all in 08 and preserve the 14-7 win

Easily the best punt I've ever seen between the tight-roping down the sideline and curling to avoid a touchback at the end. Duke proceeded to let Cincy go right down the field for 6 after this though...

We've all seen long punts like the ones some of you are mentioning.

The way the ball ball bounces is what really makes this punt amazing.

UT fans are hilarious.. months ago, it was all in on Gruden the savior, and anything less would be unacceptable.. then it was Charlie Strong, then another big name- only to end up with Butch Jones.. funny thing is, Cinci actually made out better than ya'll with Tuberville (strange, eh?)

I just don't see Butch recruiting well in the SEC.. You have either the worst or second worst coaching in our division (depending on Stoops and crew), and don't even have the best staff in your own state (Franklin is a monster)..

Duke ran all over Cinci until half of their RBs got knocked out of the game due to helmet to helmets (noticed many Cinci players going helmet first, that's all coaching). The DL was gashed all game, and Duke exposed Cinci's defense. So if that is your future DL coach, good luck!

Cinci's "scheme" was not good, they suffered on 3rd downs, except when Duke stupidly forgot to put a spy on the QB on several occasions. They only exposed Duke's already weak secondary (made weaker by starting safety knocked out) a few times, on balls that should have been better defended. Duke eventually wore down due to lack of depth and injuries, and the RB went off, but had both teams been unscathed, Duke would have won easily. Cinci was LUCKY to win this game, Duke had 3 TO's, and 3+ players concussed, yet were the better team all night long.

said it when I initially saw it, best punt I've seen.. shame that Duke didn't put a spy on the QB, they would have had a quick 3 and out and great field position.
