There's a thread in the multimedia forum that many have seen, but I'm curious what more people think about this helmet design SCDurwood came up with. Do you like or dislike this design, and how would you feel about this becoming the actual helmet design for the team?

I like it as an alternate, to go with the alternate unis we wear yearly...have also seen a matte black version with just the gamecock on it I think would look good as an alternate

I think it looks good. I am really just ready to see something dif. from what we have now. I personally want to see a garnet helmet.

I'm thinking a long these lines as well. Strictly alternate. One thing I wouldn't mind seeing is surrounding the Block C with matte white.

I'd have no issue if we wore those a time or two each year.

It looks cool, but I like our current helmets. I'm tired of all of these crazy new helmets and uniforms. If you have that much money to throw around give it to a good cause. Find a uniform and stick to it. The NFL does it right. They might throw in a special event a year and wear throwbacks or something, but for the most part. The unis are the same.

this, keep our current helmets for normal use, and use these or something similar the time or two each year we use our "alternates"

I like the design. Would love to see is an alternate that we DO NOT WEAR IN AN IMPORTANT GAME. I love the idea behind military tribute uniforms that we have done, but please, stop wearing them in big games! Wear this for the season opener non-conference against UNC, then forget it.

Personally I am a fan of a sleek uniform that stays relatively constant (with the occasional top/pant change) and a few sharp helmets to mix in and out. A helmet makes a MAJOR difference without making a major change. I like the version above but would prefer a flat garnet, white and black version with the logo size/placement above. Drop UA and bring in some old school Champion! Save a little dough.

I love it. I would, however, make the background white and eliminate the diffused pattern that makes it more grey.

I love the fact that you can clearly make out the details of our logo. I really want people to see those outstretched claws and the cockspurs.

This would be a fabulous alternate that is clearly updated and current.

I like it. I think the players would like it too. I mean, the players were apparently crazy about the grey uniform, and I wasn't very impressed with them because the white helmet with the grey just looked way out of place.

If it must have a background, I'd rather have the palmetto and crescent.
