Why are we playing at UCF? Seems like such a random game. Also can someone confirm the UNC game is now on a Saturday? Im pretty sure, but have heard conflicting reports.

Wasn't UCF Spurrier's first game at South Carolina? Maybe were going there since they came to Cola in 2005? I don't know. It would help with recruiting too i guess.

im liking our SEC slate... not playing any of the big west teams and having fla at home. also feel like the byes are in good spots

Worse decision ever. Why in the hell are we playing an out of conference game, out of town???? Not to mention against a decent team. We play in the SEC and have a meatgrinder of a conference. We dont need to validate ourselves by traveling to UCF. I have no idea why Hyman agreed to this.

I'm fairly certain it was a condition of moving the UCF game in 05 to Thursday night on ESPN. We had to pick up one game at UCF before they would change it from Saturday.

I will be attending.

It was agreed before Hyman became our AD. We agreed a home and away with UCF back in early 2005 as part of a deal to get them to play on Thursday night to open the 2005 season for our first with Spurrier. And Spurrier was on board with it then. We have been pushing the return date for a while and now the bill is due. Kind of sucks because our first 4 games next year are against 8-4 UNC, 12-2 UGA, 9-4 Vandy and 10-4 UCF. Not exactly opening with PC or Western Ky.

We'll be in Greenville, NC in a couple years too for a game at ECU. We also have an away game at Georgia Tech in about 7-8 years

GT runs that damn triple option we can't figure out to save our lives...Maybe we will have it down by then.

We have a home and home with GT in 2021 and 2022

No, the unc game is Thursday night to open the cfb season and the UCF trip is in return for their 2005 trip to Columbia. This is a good game for us because its in Florida for recruiting and it's against a big east opponent. Can't say we don't play any bcs ooc opponents

didnt they reach #1 or #2 in the polls one week? it was the same week we were #4 then lost to kentucky

UCF is never consistent. They have almost 45,000 students and they can't fill a 48,000 brand new stadium a street across from campus. (You guys will enjoy their athletic pavilion, it's nice). Only time the knights had a lot of buzz around their program was when Daunte Culpepper played QB and when Kevin Smith (ran for over 2,000 yards, was drafted 3rd round by the Lions in 2008).

They do have a cool tradition where they play Zombie Nation like we do Sandstorm and they chant "U C F Knights" in the middle. Their student section during the national anthem is this line yells "Knights" During "Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there".

I'm excited for this game. I'll be a sophomore next football season and i'm from Orlando so i'll be at the game. Go cocks
