Tajh's father is saying that he and Dabo believe he should return, but Tajh and his father also understand that he could go in the second or third round this year, or higher. I believe Tajh will be back based on this article, but it appears no decision will be made until more information is obtained and considered, which means around the January 15th deadline. As a minimum, his father insists that Tajh get insurance against an injury. I still say if the additional information indicates a first round or early second round draft possibility, Tajh should go now. |

There is not much if anything Boyd can do more, he better go this year with a very weak QB class.

Dabo wants him to return? Shocker. Never seen a coach get down on their knees so much for their players when deciding whether to go pro early. If he was a "players coach" as they say he would be looking out for the best interest of the player. He had a great year overall and his stock won't go any higher by staying another year in a weak conference. Not to mention it's going to be one of the weakest QB classes in some time.

I think alot of it hinges on Nuke. Those two were pretty dang dynamic this season. Tajh has improved a ton in one year.

The QBs next year will be just as good as those this year. Boyd will not do anything next year that will elevate his draft numbers. If he stays it will cost him one year's salary and a chance of an injury that may lower his draft pick for the next year's draft. I don't see any way he would throw away a years salary just to play at Clemson next year. That being said....he does believe what Dabo and Morris say!

Either way, he still sucks. He beat LSU in his 3 years. So what. Go or stay, who really cares.
He had 4 weeks to grow a set of balls in a bowl game. He hung in there against LSU knowing he didn't have a game the Saturday after. Waaa. Go, let little swagg play.

While he did seem to have improved since last year, his biggest problem is his decision-making.(IMO obviously)

Most every player benefits from staying, but if you're projected top 3 rounds, you gotta go. See Matt Barkley.

I think Tajh Boyd is a great college football player and his draft status will not improve much more even if he stays.
Some of the throws I have seen him make are really damn good. I don't know if he would be any good at the next level. I think he would benefit from an outstanding combine and pro-day workout rather than another year of putting up flashy numbers against bad teams. For what it is worth though, I think he stays. Dabo will get on his knees and convince TB to stay.

Personally, I think he should go. I'm not just saying that because he's a Tiger. If a Gamecock QB was projected in the top 3 rounds, I would expect him to go to. You need to go while the timing is right. I agree a lot of it probably hinges Hopkins.

He doesnt seem to throw very well on the run, and Whammy said it after the game this season, he isnt very good with progressions. BUt if he keeps his weight where it is, he's very good at escaping pressure and when he has time to throw, he's pretty deadly.

Going to be just as weak next year. That is not an issue IMO.

One point that I think Tajh's father and Dabo both understand is that these will be Tajh's glory days. Whether you guys like it or not he will be a Heisman contender along with Clowney if he decides to come back. He doesn't project all that well into the NFL, but with the success Russell Wilson had this year it goes to show you projectibility (that's not a word but sounds good) doesn't mean anything.
