2012 Breakout Player for Gamecocks.
If I had to choose one player that took things to another level and came out of no where for the 12-13 year it's Clowney. I wasn't expecting for him to have such a MONSTER year like this.

I'd say ACE. He became a huge WR threat and a huge threat on special teams. He has consistently gotten better and has became a leader for the WR unit.

Bruce. We hoped he would contribute more than 2011, but his last half of 2012 was an explosion at the receiver position. Absolutely electric, like an Ace Sanders' punt return!!

Thompson made the most improvement between Vandy and the Outback. Clowney was already a monster. Ace also improved, but he didn't have as far to go.

DJ Swearinger gets my vote by a long shot. I knew he was a capable individual player coming into this year...but he really elevated his game.
We came into the season with a huge question mark over our secondary. His actions and leadership (on and off the field) solidified our defensive back play.
