Dating a girl that already has kids

So i been talkin to this girl for for over a month now an like her, only one thing thats holdin me back. She had a 4 and a 2 year old. Ive never been in a real relationship with a girl before, usually just one nite stands or whatever, so idk if i should jump into my first relationship with a girl that already has kids. A ready made family. Anybody been in this situation or dating a girl with kids?

you want my honest assessment on the situation? ive been with 2 women who already have children. women with children are ALOT different than ones without. realize that at any moment, if she finds you unfit around her children, you get kicked to the curb. you gotta be closer to her children than you are her for it to really work and that is IF the kids arent complete brats and push you away. on top of that you have the childrens father in the picture and he will not make it easier on you. he isnt going to want some other guy raising his kids. it really isnt worth it man. i stopped being involved with this sexy redhead over her 4 year old brat son. he didnt listen to shit i said, wouldnt do anything i asked, and cried constantly. He slapped me in the face one day when i was trying to put on his jacket for him. I bent him over my knee and gave him 2 hrd wacks on the ass and she got upset at me... started screaming and took it way over board. i realized then that this was the best it would get and i left. lol

As you get older, you may find that women that you date may be moms. That happens. I have been there. Here are some things to consider:

You may not be able to sleep over at her house (you will have to leave before the kids wake up).

If you ask her out, she will have to get a babysitter sometimes so offer to at least go half on the sitter costs.

Even if you get into a relationship with the mom, she may be wary of introducing her kids to you as her boyfriend.

You also cannot take priority of the kids and you must understand when she has to do something for her kids and not you.

If these considerations are not deal breakers for you then everything else is really the same.

Also, take her someplace nice to eat. Now I wish cockytalk had like a forum that could give you some ideas on good eateries. Try the Watercooler.

Before this thread goes for 5 pages and it's just about you eating kids...

If you're going to date a girl with kids be sure to consider a few things:
1. That you really like her before you commit to anything.
-Taking your time in the relationship will make you, her and the kids more comfortable.
2. Nobody wants to think their mom is easy. Don't stay the night at her house until you're sure you're in it for the long haul.
3. Until some kind of document is signed, they're HER kids. Be careful with comments/responses about their actions/behaviors.
4. If you're sure it's not working, don't be afraid to walk away, the longer you drag it out the more she and the kids are buying into you.
5. In the same thought, don't bolt at the first sign of trouble, this will be a new experience to you I'm thinking.
