Big hoss right there, would be awesome to see Byron get a combine invite. He has put in the work ever since stepping foot on campus. If given the opportunity, he would easily put up one of the best performances for an interior lineman given his herculean strength and catlike quickness and speed much like Dontari Poe of last years draft class. It would be a site to see

I said he was going to have a good year. Hate that he doesn't have more time with USC.

I remember watching him back in his high school days, he was owning people even back then. It was almost comical to watch him because he came at kids so hard. I remember my dad telling me that he would make a great run stopper in the nfl one day...he's that much closer now.

Nah. We just gonna watch him a day later than we have been come next fall.

He plugged up that middle all afternoon long in the NFLPA game, but my favorite play was the one where he was rode out by a double team, did a little 270 degree spin, took one step and smothered the runner for maybe a 1-2 yard gain.

Great job, big guy. Loved being your 12th man. Now it's time to move on to Sundays and make us even prouder of another Gamecock-for-life.

One of Brad Lawing's best jobs right there. Byron was nothing more than a backup DT that only got in on FG attempts. They trimmed him up down a little bit and turned him into an elite SEC defensive lineman

He was also on the receiving end of a Spurrier classic when he mentioned how Jerideau was projected for major playing time this year and how that would be good because he needed to get on camera doing something other than dumping Gatorade on him after big wins.
