Can someone please elaborate on the Scholarship Lounge, i.e. what is offered there? I'm just trying to determine the value of jumping to a Half Scholarship membership and access to this would be the first true benefit from Roost (other than additional GC points).

It's a longish conference style room probably 40-50 yards long. There a few large flat screens that show a feed of the game, a private concession bar that you can purchase from and a bunch of tables and chairs. They usually offer free water and ice. Most people go in there to escape the heat or cold for a few minutes during quarter changes or half time. If it's a really hot or cold day it will usually be very crowed inside especially at halftime.

I like it. For $3-$4 you get free refills on tea, cokes, water. That comes in useful on hot days. My wife says the wait to the women's restroom is much shorter also.
I have a friend that goes and takes his 7 year old in when he starts getting tired in the stands. Works great for people that have kids. I'm half scholarship and having the lounge available is one of the reasons I'll stay at this level. Moving up to full scholarship only gives you a media guide, something I already get. |

Just curious, what does the Silver Spur Lounge or whatever it is called look like inside? How much nicer is it than the scholarship lounge?

Little bit cleaner toilets and less of a line on the rare occassion you might have to drop a duece. Shorter time in concession line. Tables to relax at if you need a break from heat, cold, rain, etc.

I think there is only 1, the Scholarship Lounge. 1 on the east side and 1 on the west but they're both the same. I could be wrong but never heard of one for the Silver Spur. See silver spur people in the scholarship lounge already. Gold Spur may have a better dining area or something that Silver and Sholarship levels don't get into.

No, on the East side there are 2 different lounges. One is the scholarship lounge that I go to each game. THen you have another lounge called the Silver Lounge or something like that . It's on the opposite end of the stairs next to the elevator in the East. |

They also serve a buffet (by Seawells)in the lounge before the games. You have to buy tickets at about $20 each.

I initially thought that it was a "full" service lounge and bar. The way I understand it, it is not. Therefore it serves no purpose for me.....
