Just wondering how everyone else feels? It seems as if our kids trust his game plans and in game decisions more with each game! I am so glad we are finally headed in the right direction!

I think Coach Martin is a great coach and knows his stuff.

I also believe the Gamecocks will struggle this year in many of our games.

My worry from the very beginning of the season is that the players and people surrounding the program will see the losses pile up due to the adjustment period and tune Frank out.

But it is a testament to the knowledge and mentoring he is giving to the team that they are out there hustling and making Carolina a hard win for opponents

I agree. I think his work ethic and enthusiasm for the game will rub off on some of the young talent we will be bringing in.

I like Carrera's enthusiasm and intensity, but he needs to grow up a little bit. Sometimes he comes off as a bit of a jerk and other times his hussle causes him to get undisciplined and commit stupid fouls. Good kid though. I am most excited about the amount of playing time that richardson and his kacinas saw. They are just solid all around ball players.

Frank is gonna go through the same thing Spurrier did, and thats the culture change. He has said it a few times before in pressers. But the teams are in every game, and there is no doubt that is all coaching.

The Lithuanians need to step up their games. Those guys are too big to not contribute to just run up and down the court. Those guys should be the Shaquille O'neal's of this team.

I was SHOCKED when we hired Martin away from Kansas State. He was a tremendous hire, someone who has won consistently on the national stage and in a major conference, and had to deal with in state rival Kansas.

I feel that the coaching this year has been better last year. Once Frank can get some of his recruits to play into his system and let the young guys on our team develop, we could be a very good team in the future.

First, Kacinas would need another growth spurt, which probably ain't happening, and either of them would have to gain 50 pounds. I wish some people would just accept the fact that this team has no Shaq and accept them for who they are.

Do you listen to Frank's pressers? He addresses the "we need a 7 footer" myth from time to time. Maybe you should listen to some of them if you haven't already.

If these guys could have shot in the 30% range(not 20%) against Vandy & Miss in the 2nd half, they'd be near the top of the east standings. They play hard, but tend to falter in the 2nd half. Maybe conditioning(because they constantly attack defensively) or maybe just young. Either way it's fun to watch. Especially against Arkansas.

Not to get into a pissing match but I don't need to watch pressers. I watch the games, that show their production on the basketball court.
After watching yesterday's game against Arkansas, Chatkevicius did a good job with rebounding, hustle and getting some early points in the game.
