Falcons to LA - Possible Move
Saw it on an Atlanta Falcons forum, that the Falcons could move to LA. Apparently on the local news last night in Atlanta confirmed it. The mayor is on a local radio channel in ATL right now discussing about the talk. Arthur Blank wants a new stadium and the government told him he would have to put down most of the money to get one. Blank said if he can't get a new stadium, then he would consider moving to LA, where they are saying they will make Blank an offer he can't refuse.
EDIT: As posted below, here is an update from the mayor of Atlanta: Ok, turns out it wasn't Blank who threatened to move the team. Cliffs from the mayor's conversation on the ATL radio: Basically said he briefed the Atlanta City Council and gave them the lay of the land which could include the Falcons moving to LA if everything goes south in the deal. Also said that apparently some council members leaked it and made it out as Blank threatened to move the Falcons.

I wonder how many times Los Angeles will be used as leverage by NFL owners who want their current host cities to provide new stadiums.
I remember reading about the Vikings possibly moving...then they get a new stadium. Then the talk of the Panthers moving...then Charlotte provides funding for stadium improvements. It will happen a few more times with other teams too I'm sure.

LA will eventually get a team, but a crappy one with little or no fan support from their current city. That's not the Falcons. This is Blank's way of getting money from the city and state. Jerry Richardson did the same thing last month and it worked.

Goodell ought to stop this kinda noise ! If the Panthers or Falcons or any other team wants to go to L.A., let'em. It's the kiss of death. I tell you what, if I was mayor of Charlotte or Atlanta, I'd tell to take a hike, teams spend millions already on salaries, they've got lucrative TV deals and they still want fans to pay for "Upgrades". Forget that..............

Hahaha, not gonna happen. I will say a stadium out in the suburbs (pref Cobb or Gwinnett Co.) would be awesome. Much easier to get to during the week. And its Atlanta, open air please...
