For me, it was a play at LSU that I doubt many remember. With just under 5 minutes to go in the first half, Connor threw a bomb to a wide open Byrd who let it go through his hands on the LSU 20 in full stride. We are up 7-3 at that time. If he catches it, he scores and we go up 14-3 at half. I don't think LSU wins.
The other would be the fumbled punt at UF that led to the second TD. That one changed the game. Others? |

I agree with you on the byrd drop at lsu. Dont think lsu wins and i also dont think we lose to florida if we dont lose to lsu.
The only other play would be the play lattimore got hurt on. Wouldnt have wished that second major injury on anyone much less latti |

The first play of the Florida game. That set the tone for the rest of the game. We win that one, we won the east.

Shaw not getting sacked at the end of the first half vs LSU. It took us out of FG range.

They've all been said at this point.
1) Latti's injury #1. 2) The fumble to start the UF game 3) The int vs LSU.

I know this is all hypothetical and everything so it doesn't really matter.
But as a Gamecock, if through some act of God, you really did have a chance to go back and pick just one play to change and you didn't pick the Lattimore play..... then you are pretty sad.. If you would really take a possible win over LSU over the fact that Lattimore would not have been injured and ended his college career, then I don't have much use for you. Just sayin... And yes, I know the whole topic is hypothetical. |

2) I also believe the OP is talking about changing a play that would've possibly changed the outcome of a game and the season, so that in itself means anyone who chooses a play that impacted the outcome of a game isn't some selfish jerk.

I'd have to say the HUGE hit that Connor took against Vandy. It was like after that hit, he was hurting pretty good and very timid for a good portion of the season. I think that if he wouldn't have gotten injured on that play he would have been more aggressive the rest of the season.
Yes, I agree with Latti's play and the INT also.

This. I was just trying to have some fun with changing the fortunes of our season and its results. Most killing time in a doctor's office waiting room. Obviously I wouldn't ever want to see Marcus get hurt. |

would have wished for Latti to have to stay home for the ut game because he had some sort of non threating illness that went away at gametime.

I think the second fumble on the punt against UF was more important. If we don't fumble there, we get the ball with a chance to go ahead. We go ahead in that game, I don't believe we would look back. Our D was dominating in that game. The first fumble to me was kind of like the kickoff return UF had for a touchdown in 2010. We overcame that to win big. |

I'm not even reading any other posts.
Marcus getting hurt has to be first choice for multiple reasons.

I think we all would "erase" the play when Marcus got hurt. Aside from that. If I could "change" a play, it would have been the first play from scrimmage against Fla.

The first play vs. Florida. That destroyed what ever remained of the team's confidence from the UGA game.

"The Hit" vs. Michigan. If I could change it, Clowney would have picked that ball up and scored which would have made it the undisputed most epic play ever.
