1 Dead, 2 Hurt After Stabbing In Downtown Baltimore Near M&T Bank Stadium

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — As Ravens fans celebrated, violence broke out not far from the parade route. One teenager is dead and two others were injured in a triple stabbing. City police say they believe the victims are around 15 or 16 years old. The stabbing happened after they had words with their attacker.

The stabbing happened as crowds of people filled the streets for the Ravens victory parade, though it’s not clear if that’s why the victims were downtown.

“It was really awful to hear that after coming from this great celebration and then to hear it was a kid and who knows if it was kids really involved in it?” said Monica Queen, who works downtown. “For them to sit there and not…get along with each other, it’s sad. It really is,” said Katharina Pawlik.

“We have a very good camera network in this city, probably one of the best in the country, and that camera network is going to help us further this case along,” Guglielmi said. At this point, police won’t say whether they are looking for more than one suspect.

I lived outside of Baltimore, in Owings Mills for 9 months back in early 2007. I hated it. There were 300 murders or something crazy like that during that year. Baltimore is an awful place to live. If there was a nuke I could drop on any city of my choice, Bmore would ge tit from me.

Yea BMore isn't what it used to be. A good portion of the inner harbor has shut down which was really the only place I would ever walk due to crime.

When I was stationed in Northern VA me and a group of guys would hit up the inner harbor every other weekend. Needless to say after a few too many "co-colas" I went for a walk outside the safe zone one night and ended up in an area I had no business in. Used to go to that Have a Nice Day cafe all the time, though.

I used to work with a guy from Baltimore fifteen or twenty years ago and he used to talk about how bad it was even way back then.

I have a couple friends/former roommates (in SC) who live in Baltimore now and about a year or so ago one of them was leaving a concert with two girls and they were walking to their car in a parking garage when a group of guys jumped them and beat him up pretty good. They also layed into the girls a good bit too. These dumbasses were smart enough to film it all on cell phones and put it on YouTube. Needless to say, convictions came pretty easily with that type of evidence.

Also, I will probably never go out of my way to visit that city.
