Obviously these rankings are subjective and what not but damn if the SEC isn't stacked I don't know what is.

It's been said before, but those rankings are dumb.

Clemson's class, for one, is WAY overranked.

Edit, but Oklahoma's is even worse. Comparing our classes side by side, how you rank their above ours is a mystery to me.

My biggest gripe w/ "Class Rankings" is that it completely fails to factor in team need. Someone get Nate Silver on this. He doesn't have anything to do for 3 more years.

absolutely, also needs to factor in groupings, like our OL class, which has to be one of the best in the country, that kind of concentrated talent at a particular position never seems to matter in the overall rankings... plus we didn't need any flashy positions like WR.

Our player average is actually higher than Clemsons per Rivals as a whole but they only include the top 20(highest ranked) into their calculations.

At least we've passed Tennessee the last couple of years, but still can't catch UGA and UF year-over-year.

Hands down the top school in the best conference with a charismatic young coach. It's like Stanford pulling in good classes. There are enough smart kids who get that that degree means a boatload. Also, Nashville is a helluva place to live.

Don't confuse the end results of Clemson's classes with the classes being overrated. They get talent but have no clue what to do with them once they get on campus.

If The USC went out every year and nabbed many WRs and DBs along with a few QBs, LBs and RBs, we would have higher ranked classes but would fail to meet our needs and build depth. The "skill" positions always carry more stars and higher rankings. Clemsux concentrates on that since Dilbert's #1 passion is recruiting and getting talked about with highly ranked recruiting classes, regardless of missing needs, not building depth (especially in the trenches), getting kids with lower character, failing ("pulling a Clemsux") to develop them, and keeping them soft and "me-first" in attitude.

We're 5-1 against them the last 3 years. That is a lot better assessment of our recruiting than Rivals. It's like Spurrier said today, that #1 class caused Urban to retire.

It will some with time, those schools are traditional powers and the rankings automatically go up on them some. Keep winning on the field and higher ranking will come with our school's name.

Yes, this is a great point. Rivals' rankings are based on total points which means, the more players you sign the more points you have and the higher you are ranked. This is a poor way of ranking the schools in my opinion. But our ranking is higher per player than either Clemson or Oklahoma. Also, this is first time ever that we do not have a player ranked lower than a 5.7 3*......remember 5.8 is a 4*.....folks, we have 21 really good players in this class, and don't forget this is absolutely the best LB class ever at Carolina.
