Some names of fighters that I am anxious to see today are Baroa, Jimmo, Swanson, Nelson and Te Huna. Ought to be great fireworks!

Watch for Jimmo to do "the Robot" if victorious (it ROCKS!!)!

First up is a welterweight battle (170#) between Che Mills vs Matthew Riddle. Riddle is a former TUF alumnus that has strung together a 4 fight winning streak. Mills is a local boy looking to break his career wide open.

Riddle is 3 years younger @ 27, and has a 1" heighth advantage @ 6'2"...

And it's on! Riddle tries a takedown, now up against cage. Mills with good defense but gets taken down anyway. Back to their feet quickly and trading knees. Riddle slips a punch and gets a double leg takedown. Mills gets a kick and then takes a right before giving a nice flurry of his own! No damage done and a minute to go before another takedown and Riddle working half guard. Solid round to Riddle.

Rd 2- a couple of kicks traded and another kick by Mills before getting taken down. Riddle in north/south position for a choke. Now in side mount,and throws some knees to body. Mills has no answer off of his back and Riddle in firm control, though little damage being done. Mills content to weather the storm off of his back, now Riddle mounted on Mills and has his back! Trying an RNC but can't get it yet. Another huge round for Riddle, maybe a 10-8 round.

Rd 3- mills needs a finish to win. He opens up on Riddle but can't connect well with his hands. Riddle after another TD but not able to do it, and both work in the clinch. Riddle finally gets Mills to the mat. Working for G& P in Mills guard and lands a big elbow! Mills just hanging on minimize the damage but is able to sweep and get on top of Riddle! Both on their feet now. Mills clearly tired now and this will end as a unanimous decision for Matthew Riddle.

No, I have 2010 Gamecock baseball NC shirt on as I was hoping to hear the game today. Since it was cancelled I am bringing the fights to Cockytalk.

Next up is Ryan Jimmo vs James Te Huna in a light heavyweight battle (205#). Jimmo is unreal! He currently has a 17 fight win streak going.

Rd 1- Te Huna presses Jimmo to the cage and takes some knees to the gut from Jimmo. Jimmo drops Te Huna with a head kick! Ryan with some heavy G & P now by James weathers the onslaught. Jimmo cut Te Huna on right eye. Ryan passes to see mount. James getting pounded but does answer with elbows from the bottom. Round to RJ!

Rd 2- Attempted TD by Te Huna but Ryan turns him on the cage. James with the slam and now it sidemount. Ryan getting peppered on bottom and is now mounted. Back to half guard but Te Huna delivering heavy leather!! This round to James!

Rd 3- Ryan slips a TD attempt and now has Te Huna against the fence. Trading blows now and James lands 2 punches. JTH takes down RJ and is all over him on top. Throwing elbows down and controlling RJ well. Jimmo looks a little lost on bottom and JTH will take this round as well as 2nd.

Decision is for James Te Huna unanimously

Now up is welterweights Gunnar Nelson vs Jorge Santiago.

Rd 1- Jorge swings for the KO, but misses. Now a right followed by a knee from JS. Gunner with a couple of kicks, big combo r/l /kick by JS. GN changes levels to get a TD, now on top. Hammer fists off his back by JS to get back to his feet. GN keeping hands low in southpaw stance. JS charges and now both clenched against cage to end round.

Rd 2- GN with good left hand and presses in with combos on JS against cage. TD again by GN and bringing a few strikes. GN on feet to pass guard of JS and throwing steady hands and elbows. JS trying up kicks with no effect, GN with more shots and passes guard. Mount by GN and good control on top. Heavy elbows to finish rd for GN.

Nelson beat the dogshit out of Santiago in rd 2!

Rd 3- JS charges with a good l/r combo. GN very elusive as JS gets wild. Both with big right hands! JS the worse for the exchange and showing fatigue. Nelson with an uppercut! Timing excellent for GN, and now landing high percentage but eats a couple heavy shots to end the round!

Should be a unan. dec. for Gunner Nelson

Rd 1- Two good strikers here. Clinch on the fence after a kick by JM. He takes CD down and works from side mount, and tries to control him. No G & P and CD back on his feet. Kicks from Manuwa and knees by CD. JM presses with leg kicks to CD 's thighs and now knees to body followed by a TD from Jimi to end round.
