Makes sense at least to me. Football will be able to sell playing in the B1G with better results than the ACC and the basketball team gets games against Ohio State, Michigan State, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Purdue, Maryland, Iowa, etc. Basketball probably gets put in a better situation.

So begins the epic fall of the ACC. If UNC leaves, Duke will follow. FSU's relationship with the ACC is shaky, if Duke and UNC leave, I believe they would jump ship quickly. Clemson will follow FSU. Then, the question will be who wants the leftovers? Everyone else will have to take the best offer handed to them, or go down with the ship.
Like spurrier superior said though, UNC rules. They have a sweet deal going on in the ACC. Is it worth it to them to leave all that behind?

Plus, UNC takes pride in consistently being one of/the best basketball teams in the ACC. Would they be willing to give that up? |
