$200M for a school with around 8500 students. Forget about the external revenue from concets etc.

Honestly, it wouldn't be bad idea for a school of that size to invest in a lone stadium that could house football, baseball, and basketball. Or any school wanting to do big things on a limited budget.

A 200 million facility isn't something done on a limited basis.

Would be a great investment for the City of Jackson if they could attract some major events like NCAA Tourney games. Unfortunately, the NAACP & NCAA have the same boycott on MS that they do on South Carolina.

It does save them money from not having to build an indoor practice facility.

This is where they play now Memorial Stadium (off campus). Seats 60,400 and on home games its over half empty. On campus site would help but how much. Sorry to say crime issues with new site.

I'll bet somebody is going to push to create a new bowl game.
