He has played well, what, twice this year.

HE is still a liability on defense. I'm surprised he played as much as he did with how poor he was on the defensive end.

I've got no problem with him staying. I really like all our guards with the exception of Smith. Nothing personal he just doesn't give us much. We've got decent guard play this year from Richardson, Bruce, and Williams at times. But we have got to get better down low.

Chat, Kicinas, and Slawson don't give us hardly anything. I understand the first 2 are freshman but I just can't see them growing into good, productive players. Slawson is in year 3 in this program and is still playing like a freshman.

We sure are putting a lot of eggs in the Sindarius Thornwell basket. Any chance we get that big man out of Miami?

I agree that Slawson hasn't done much and I definitely do not see Chat developing into anything. Kacinas I think has some talent and he rebounds really well for his size. He also has some nifty moves down low. I think he is a guy that would be able to provide 8-10 pts and 5+ rebounds a game for us going forward.

It would be nice if we can bring in Demetrius Henry (dude from southern Florida) and pair him up with Desmond Ringer.

I agree with eaglegolf018 about Smith, he really doesn't contribute that much. A few games back where he made a few baskets surprised me. A lot.

As for RJ Slawson, he plays the system well to be getting a free education.

The Lithuanians..Freshman that will most likely get better (hopefully) because right now Lchat looks like the weakest 6'9 dude I've ever seen.

So you do not see a guy who is 6'11-7' who can shoot, may be the best passer on the team, rebounds well and is only a FR will not get any better? He has played against the best the world has to offer in basketball for his age group, hell I have watched him get better from last month to this month but you do not see him getting any better or developing into anything? Tell that to the coach:

Ummm he sucks. Do you watch the basketball games? He missed at least three put back attempts against GA that would have put us up further late in the game. The dude CANNOT jump, he is slow as molases, no fast twitch muscles, hell he doesn't even know how to pivot. No, I do not see him improving much.

He does not rebound well at all. He is most of the times the tallest on the court but he can easily be out jumped by a more athletic person. I just don't see much upside to his game.

Eric Smith is correct. There are two guys I believe who are @ even, but Smith surprisingly is the only one with a positive ratio.

I think he's playing better than a lot of people give him credit for. I'm not saying he's a superstar, but he's alright.

Smith can't shoot at all and is too slow to play good defense. He's not a good ballhandler, so I'm not sure what reason there is for him to stay

I know Coach Martin not only has one of the best seats in the house for all games but gets to watch every practice and he has forgotten more about basketball players then you ever knew.

Fast, athletic, being able to jump, being 6'11, nor fast twitch muscles make a basketball player. Every attribute helps but to be coachable, basketball knowledge, shooting, passing, dribbling... these make basketball players and the young man you say sucks has traveled 1000's of miles leaving his family to be coached and better his basketball skills because he wants to be better and that is half the battle!

I see a hungry very large young basketball player who with the help of the Coach Martin staff will have you eating your words in 3 years. If you are still a member in 3 years be sure to look me up and we can dine on your crow or mine lol

Basketball knowledge?? The dude doesn't know how to freaking pivot!! Look at other good big men in college basketball they can move, jump, defend. Chat just isn't cut out for major college basketball.
