This committment was a pretty cool deal for me at the game 2day !!! Me and my son sat in section 109 with most of the recruits 4 or 5 rows behind us...After the halftime ceremony I got up and was walking up the steps to the bathroom ... at the moment I got to the step right beside Blue and DJ Park , Blue turned around and told Coach Elliot " Im coming here" and Elliot shook his hand and told him "welcome aboard"....I felt like doing a lil dance in the aisle but remebered I dont dance and changed my mind !!!! Welcome to Gamecock nation MR. BLUE !!!!!!

I think converted LB make the best HB because they like the contact.

Joe Blues commitment is a huge deal...It gets the ball rolling for an awesome 2014 class....Blue is one of the very best linebacker prospects in the nation...Great addition to our program

He looks like a good run stopper / pass rushing LB and he has great instincts. I didn't see any pass coverage in the videos, though. That has me a little worried, but I trust the coaches.

He is a bowling ball on offense. I see him lining up and blocking for Kendric Salley during goal line situations in the future. Also, I truly believe he could be one of the first FB/HB regularly getting the ball in Spurrier's offense in a long time.

Basically, I could see him excel at many places...MLB during obvious run situations, LB/DE Hybrid, or FB/HB.
