That's where I would rate him as well. The one thing to note about him versus guys like Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey is that he is certainly not a product of a system. I recall his freshman season (Pre-Chad Morris) that he was the only receiver on that team that could run routes or you know, actually receive a pass. Had couple of nice plays in the game against us that year - and our secondary was arguably better back then. I think his closest Clemson comparison may be Rod Gardner, and the comparison is very favorable for DeAndre.

Of course Dabo said that. Nuk staying in college only helps Clemson. It does nothing for Nuk.

Dabo has said on more than one occasion that he doesnt recommend underclassmen going pro if they arent first round picks. Nuk more than likely wont be a first round pick unless a team falls in love with him.

What can Nuk do to improve his stock staying at Clemson?? Nuk staying only helps Clemson and does nothing for himself.

Dabo is a complete phony asswipe. There is no reason for Hopkins to stay right now. He is only looking out for himself and what will produce the most wins. I never really disliked Bowden all that much, but I absolutely despise this con man.

Exactly. Dabo showed how selfish he is with that statement. Hopkins would not benefit a bit from one more year. He is at his college football ceiling. A healthy Sammy next year means his numbers probably would drop. Him coming back would only benefit Clemson.

Just because kids fell for his line the first time, doesn't mean they need to do it as full grown adults now. If a kid decides he is comfortable with a $500k bonus and salary as a second round, it is there decision. Any coaxing from a coach is more or less a self serving effort.

There are only so many passes to catch during any football season. Nuk had 82 receptions, 18 TD's and 17 yds/catch. That means he has a much higher chance of regression (a la Sammy Potkins) than his small chance of improvement. Clemson will get something if he stays but Nuk has much more to lose if he stays and his production goes down. No guarantees but he needs to take the money and RUN! His star will not get brighter and may very well dim next season.

Yeah that's a load of crap. Clemson fans will believe anything coming out of that guys mouth. Quote:
I'm sure Dabo had nothing to do with this. Luckily for Spiller it worked out for him, but Dabo begs ALL of his players to come back, no matter where they're projected to go in the draft. DeAndre McDaniel had an an All-American type year with 8 picks his junior year. Obviously nowhere to go but down. He was projected an early 2nd round pick. Dabo begged him to come back and the next year he goes undrafted.

He should go on. He is good enough to play at the next level. And smart enough to apparently not fall for Abo's BULLSHIT!!!

But in Nuk's case unless he is able to shave his 40 time by .2 he isn't going to raise his stock by coming back next year. It will be difficult for him to have the year he had last year statistically plus there will be some players like Lee and Watkins who will test off the charts at the combine. This year there isn't top talent that will test off the charts so he has the chance to move up with a strong pre draft process.

Yes he has, you guys should hear his math behind the argument. He basically said if you aren't in the first round by the time you give your mom some money, buy a car and get settled in you have no signing bonus left and less of a chance to get a second contract. I am amazed, but gullible people fall for a good sales pitch.
