He got in twice and touched the ball a total of 2 times. He has the potential to be a starter by the end of the season if he gets some playing time and be a great 3-point shooter. I was surprised he didn't get more playing time considering it was an exhibition game.

He has missed a lot of practice the past month so he is still working himself back into shape.

I agree, there was at least 1500 people there. It took a while for everyone to fill in as I was seated a hour before tip-off, but when I looked at the crowd during halftime, I was surprised by how many people showed up. It was my first b-ball game at the CFLA and it was an awesome experience (the only other time I went to CFLA was for the Prince concert a couple of years ago). Here's some of my thoughts on the game; these are rough as I was half paying attention and half joking around with my Dad:
1. Galloway and Jackson both looked very impressive. Galloway had a nice ally-op layup pass to Jackson. Downey looks like he has a pretty good backup in Galloway. Jackson is a big guy; most of our players are tall and lanky, but Jackson is very built and athletic. 2. Horn was making whole-sale substitutions. It was nice to see a whole new wave of players come in for the starters. Of course, he might have just been doing this because it's an exhibition game. 3. Archie looks like he's trying to be a part of the offense more. He took a bunch of shots (well, for him at least) and made a couple of 3's. 4. I think Muldrow scored the most and even hit two 3's. There was no one even close to his length. It still looks like his post-up game needs some work, though, as most of his points came from rebounds off of missed shots and free throws. 5. Speaking of FTs, other than Muldrow, we weren't very good. 6. Downey probably struggled the most, but we know what Downey is capable of so Horn probably told him to get the others involved. He did hit one 3 and constantly harassed the other PG. I think he missed all 6 (?) of his FTs. We probably would have beat them by 40 if we would've hit some of our FTs. 7. Steed didn't have a good night. Missed a shot or two and just couldn't seem to grab the ball when he had a chance at a rebound. 8. We didn't run all that much. It appeared to us that Horn was trying to work on their half-court game most of the night instead of getting out on the break. 9. We were so much taller than them but really couldn't establish an inside game. It seems all our players play better facing instead of posting-up. However, I don't think that's our game anyway... just saying. 10. Spinella (sp?) was only in the game twice for about a minute or so total. He didn't get to take a shot, but I thought I read somewhere he was hurt. I was hoping to see some 3 attempts from him, but like I said, he didn't play all that much even when the game was well in hand. 11. Horn was really into it. It was cool seeing him really getting on the players and coaching like this was a SEC game, not just a exhibition. I love his fire, and it's great to be so excited about b-ball (at least for me) while football season is still going on. Anyway, that's my take. I may not be 100% correct on everything but I wasn't there to take notes, just to enjoy the atmosphere. On a side note, I think the cheerleaders stole the show, though. ![]() |

Actual attendance: 832 (But if you include the teams, concession stand workers, ticket takers (oh wait, scratch that).. and security... it was 919..

I looked up Kentucky Wesleyan and they have been to 17 division 2 final fours. It's hard to say where they would fit if they played a division 1 schedule, but they have quite a history.
