im surprised people like this.. but i will say the gloves are cool. im usually one for modern uni's but these are too flashy and tacky. you just dont change an FSU helmet. i thought FSU had one of the best uniforms in the first place. one game i geuss dosent hurt though. its good exposure.

So, you're surprised people like the new style of uniform Nike created? You do realize that this is the start of a new System Of Dress in college football. Just as they did in basketball. Eventually most teams with Nike will be wearing this type of stuff - the Pro Combat. For Nike's sake, people better like this.

lol im just surprised people do. im still an school jersey type guy i geuss. i like carolina's uni's but penn state is still the best jersey out there. the jersey has become alot of different things, and is even used as a recruiting tool now. the players like new and fresh uniforms. a gradual change like carolina has done was fine with me. but a complete newer design steering far away from the original seems too much.

i do like the lightweight technology. the new material almost evaporates sweat and water and keeps it lightweight.

I guess I am not as much of a minority as I thought in hating these uniforms. Nike is so up and down in their designs, sometimes they give you a Pitt which was a major upgrade over the Adidas unis.

I think part of the problem is they give the kids a bit too much control, asking for suggestions is ok, giving them free reign looks like crap. Take a look at what most people think are the best looking college teams and what do they have in common? Longstanding and simplicity, FSU was in that category but with these abominations not anymore.

In Nike's defense, the schools have to approve them...

But I think they are hideous. Maybe if they were not all one color. I hate all one color unis (really not a fan of our all Garnet). Its way too flashy and gimmicky. And you don't mess with helmets. Penn State, Notre Dame, 'Bama, Navy, SoCal (for the past 40 years), Texas, Grambling, they all have classic helmets. Even FSU and UGA.

I dig the helmet, gloves, and shoes. The jersey is kinda blah. I WISH they would wear this stuff when they beat Clemson Sat. Will FSU bring their horse and indian cheif to the game up in cow town?
