I don't disagree that he's a good player, versatile, makes good calls, done all that stuff and going to be a relatively high draft pick. And it's admirable that he played injured and had to deal with ND's best defender.

But just stating a fact: he couldn't handle Nix last night. Give the 1st half a rewatch and you'll see.

I had a little on the background today and I didn't really see him getting beat. The thing is in that scheme they use the Guard a lot to block the nose tackle/guard lined up over center so he isn't going heads up very often unless it's a blitz. I saw him get to the second level quite a few times and blow a LB up for a big run though. There is a reason he will be taken in the first round which is rare for an OL other than a tackle. Every lineman is going to get beat by the DL from time to time...the same reason a lot of your DB's are on defense (can't catch) is the same reason a lot of your most athletic linemen end up on defense not offense....there is a higher value placed on athleticism (outside of maybe left tackle) there than on the OL.
