Why is everyone getting so worked up about a guy who possibly hasn't even seen the game yet? He was all over the Thompson/Shaw argument the day after the Clemson game getting everyone riled up. Two week later he starts a thread saying that the game was finally shipped to him so he got to watch it and then just rehashes his old points and gets the argument started again.

I think the QB we have in depends on how the OL is gonna play that day. If they can't keep it together, put Shaw in to scramble. If the OL is working well together, DT is the way to go.

Here is how they weigh out to me:

Connor Shaw:
Can scramble
Gets 1st downs
Have passing efficiency, when he lets it go

Dylan Thompson:
Can flat out wing it
Throws the ball where the receivers are going to be
Moves the ball in large chunks of yards

As personal preference, I like watching us play with DT at QB. I'm not saying he's better (outright), just that I prefer to watch my gamecocks with a true pass first QB.

If I was coaching, I'd start Thompson, then when we got a 2 score lead, I'd put in Shaw to eat the clock by getting multiple first downs on the ground and with short throws. Play to their strengths ya know?
