I disagree, Morris is full of gimmicks. He is always outthinking himself. It is an offense built on deception and fast pace creating confusion on the defense. When a defense stands up and blows up a couple of plays, that offense is helpless. Maybe we just have a different definition of gimmick. To me a gimmick offense is one that is only successful when the offense can establish it's pace and play it's game (see Brad Scott at USC). A good offense is one that can take what the defense gives and take advantage of the weakness of a defense no matter what that may be. To me a Gimmick offense is one that can destroy weak defenses but gets embarrassed by good defenses.
