Warren Muir should be the FB. He was an All-American his Senior year and just missed a thousand yards. Tough runner, got most of his yards right up the middle in an era where it was run first and the defenses were geared at stopping the run. It was also when there were only 10 games in the regular season, so a thousand yards under those circumstances was far more impressive.

DiMarco, while having a nice pro career, mostly used as a blocker, had a nice, dependable career here, but also seldom ran the ball.

I think I would have Jonathan Joseph over Rashad Faison.

Hard to leave Swearinger off this list. He layer the wood like no other before or since.

Picking a top corner is very hard.

I copied this from a cbs article ranking schools by position placement in the NFL.

2. South Carolina: When the numbers got crunched, this became the most surprising selection in the entire Position U series. The Gamecocks barely edged Ohio State and LSU to be No. 2 at DBU. A case could be made that other schools have more prominent defensive backs than South Carolina. But check out this list of solid starting defensive backs who enjoyed good NFL careers: two-time Pro Bowler Johnathan Joseph, Dunta Robinson, Darian Stewart, D.J. Swearinger, Stephon Gilmore, Chris Culliver, Captain Munnerlyn, Fred Bennett, Ko Simpson, Sheldon Brown and Andre’ Goodman. The depth is remarkable for a program not often associated with DBU. Now can Will Muschamp, a defensive-minded head coach, tap into this history with the Gamecocks?

I think Wadiak would have been the best FB.

Eric Norwood. Man, haven't seen that name in a while. He made so many clutch plays in a Carolina uniform!

Impossible to have an OL without Steve Courson on it who anchored the Steelers offensive line for years during their Super Bowl run and was a beast here.

Also hard not to put Bobby Bryant, DJ Swearinger or Darian Stewart on there somewhere. Bobby Bryant was an All-american and in the NFL Hall of Fame.

I can think of many DTs better than Kelcy Quarles. The Provence brothers, Cleveland Pinkney, Langston Moore, and others I have forgotten but will supplement.

I would go with Langston Moore at DT over Quarles and maybe Cleveland Pinkney and move Ingram to LB where he stumbled here and later excelled in the 3-4 at S Diego. I'd want to have Jasper Brinkley at MLB. Baring the LSU dirty play, he would have led the team in tackles by a wide margin every year. Amazingly, we have too many good linebackers to consider with the dearth of top players at the position the last few years.

Kenny McKinley (WR) - should not be left off - may need to have 4 WR on the list.

An interesting thought when I posted this on Reddit... Someone suggested Andy Boyd for tight end. That was a name I hadn't thought about in YEARS!

Thanks everyone for posting your opinions, that was our goal of this. It's hard to have football conversations in March, so we do what we can.

Courson's game against NC State was the most dominating physical performance I've ever seen. He must have had 15 pancakes in that game. When the State players saw him pulling, they started going to the ground in fear.

Willie Scott was the most dominating blocking TE we have ever had.
