Starting to hit the "one-year deals" stage of his career kinda early. Hope he proves he's still worth a multi-year offer this season.
He had injuries that last 2 years and had that 4 games suspension for a PED. If he can get through the year healthy and no substance issues while putting up big numbers a short term deal is actually better for him. I wouldn't be surprised if he was actually the one after the 1 year deal due to deflated long term guaranteed money. Prove it for a year then sign the big contract is the most profitable way to go if he stays healthy.
