If he ends up missing the whole season, could he be granted another year of eligibilty? Even though he is a redshirt? A medical hardship waiver possibly?

I think he possibly could be but I bet Frank would want to use that scholarship to possibly get a better player.

It's possible but not likely as this is very close to the Archie case and he was denied another year.

I also don't see Martin closing this slot when most likely he can recruit a better talent.

Although Archie did play the season he got hurt, I do agree that Geathers will most likely miss up on a sixth year for the reason you submitted. I hope Geathers can recover this year and be an asset to the team for the remainder of his Gamecock career.

I too wish Geathers well and hope he can help our team. He has the body, just hope he will gain the skills to be a big factor.
