Karma is a bit$%$!! I have nothing against Keapernick, he has proved himself a very good QB, but the coach who kept Alex Smith as the starter up until he had a concussion only to not let him play another down after being cleared to play is wrong.
I guess Smith got them to the NFC title game, takes a loss through no fault of his own and you let him go next year, Keapernick gets you to the Super Bowl, takes a loss though he played a great game..... It sends the wrong message and in the end Karma is a Bit##$ who has Jim still crying today about the refs, good thing Smith is a good loser who took the arrogant coaches treatment in stride and was a team player till the end instead of crying like his coach! |

i am a Ravens fan (in case anyone hasnt taken note over the last few weeks) so I am happy with the outcome. There were calls that could have gone either way (the holding, the hit on Flacco out of bounds) but all in all the refs had a lot of no calls, which is what I would think most people want in a Super Bowl.
I am interested to see how much Flacco gets paid now |

Kaepernick was the better QB he deserved to play. Now if this was pop Warner I'd agree with you, but its not.

Conspiracy theorists, gotta love what happened with the lights. MY old professor brought it up today. The timing was just too perfect. Game is a blowout, you're about to lose viewers, and then all of a sudden the lights go out...Right.....

Thats something we will never know. But as we all have seen, Kaepernick's dynamics as a QB separate him from Alex Smith.

Smith led them to the NFC title game last year and appeared headed to leading them back, but we will never know as Jim made a decision to not let him return as the starter after getting hurt. HHHMMMM wonder what would have happened had Coach spurrier decided he did not need the service of Conner Shaw after he was hurt and Dylan played very well....just not the right message to send to anyone on your team, Culliver could have been playing hurt, Ackers, Keapernick on the last drive, but none would tell the Coach for fear of losing starting job in my opinion. Having said that he is the coach and his opinion is the final decision since he is going to be judged by the outcome, so he did what he thought would give him the best chance to win. I just think it is Karma to not be loyal to the horse that got you to the doorstep only to grab his reins and let another horse try after one season, of course they shoot injured horses so.... |

You don't have to like what Harbaugh did. That's fine. However, there is NO DOUBT, Kaepernick was a better QB. He made them better. He made Crabtree better. Everyone stepped up their game with Colin in there. This is no slight to Smith because he was having a good year but Colin took them a step beyond what they were. In the early games, 49ers were winning with their defense. Colin gave them the an extra boost and added dimension that Smith didn't offer. Yes it sucks Smith lost his job to injury. Maybe that's an unwritten rule. However, it's very clear that Colin made this team better and gave them an added dimension. Harbaugh's job is to win a Super Bowl. He got them there with Colin. Not sure he would have done that with Alex. Sucks for Alex Smith but Harbaugh's #1 obligation is to win games and the Super Bowl, not to Alex Smith.

It's a dog eat dog work in the NFL.
You do anything you need to do to win. Even if it means doing something that gives you "bad karma"
